This Privacy Policy explains how 2048 Odyssey ("the app") collects, uses, and shares information when you play the game.
We use information to authenticate players, provide and synchronize game features, maintain leaderboards and achievements, restore eligible purchases, show and measure ads, prevent abuse and fraud, diagnose errors, and comply with legal obligations.
Information may be processed by service providers needed to operate the app, including Google Play Games Services, Google Play Billing, Google Mobile Ads/UMP, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, and our cloud hosting provider. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not sell personal information.
You can play as a guest without signing in. Starting with version 1.59, the in-game scoreboard includes guests: when connected, the app sends your guest display name and best scores using a leaderboard-only identity. This does not create a Google account or grant access to Ranked. Linking Google combines your guest scores with your account without leaving a duplicate guest entry. Other guest progress remains on your device until you link an account; reinstalling does not restore an unlinked guest profile. Google Play Games features, Ranked, and account-based cloud synchronization require sign-in.
We offer a separate, optional choice to help measure and optimize our Facebook and Instagram advertising. The Meta SDK is not initialized before you explicitly allow this measurement and confirm that you are 18 or older. Declining does not restrict any game feature, guest play, Google sign-in or rewards. Your Google advertising-consent choice does not automatically grant permission to Meta.
If you opt in, Meta Platforms processes installation and app-open events, advertising and app-instance identifiers, IP address, and basic app/device information (such as app version, operating system, device model, language and time zone). Meta may associate these signals with advertising interactions under its Privacy Policy. We do not send your game account identifier, name, email, scores, coin balance, saved games or purchase records through this integration. Automatic event/purchase logging and automatic advanced matching are disabled.
You can withdraw permission in Settings > Meta ad measurement. We then stop sending new app-open events and disable Meta advertising-ID collection; an already dispatched request cannot be recalled. This choice is stored on the device, is not copied into your game account and is not restored through cloud backup. Meta retains information it has already received under its own privacy policy. Data sent between the app and our services is transmitted using HTTPS. Authentication tokens stored by the app are protected with Android Keystore-backed encryption. We retain account and game data while your account is active and as reasonably necessary to provide the service, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and meet legal requirements.
You may use guest mode, adjust advertising consent where available, or stop using the app. Signed-in players can permanently delete their account and associated server-side game data directly from Settings in the app. Guests on version 1.59 or later can select Settings > Delete Guest Data to remove their public name, scores, and local guest progress; an internet connection is needed if a server identity exists. A minimal retired-identity record is kept to prevent a delayed request from recreating a deleted or linked guest entry. If you no longer have access to the app, follow the instructions on our account deletion page. Data that must be retained for security, fraud prevention, purchase records, or legal compliance may be kept for the required period.
The app is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us so we can delete it.
We may update this policy when the app or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
